It was under the pressure of an ever-growing number of parishioners and in the wake of the trend of ever more imposing Catholic churches that the decision was made in 1908 after bitter discussions to build the present church, the cost of which of construction amounts to $20,650.

The new church was blessed on May 9, 1909. It is 135 feet long (41 meters) and 60 feet wide (18 meters) Due to its location, the church of neo-Romanesque architecture imposes itself on the view from as far away as the city of Magog. Its bumpy stone facade comes from a surplus of blocks from the Bromptonville church constructian, while the side walls and the sacristy are made of quarry stone.
