Norway is a country in Northern Europe. Located in the west-northwest of the Scandinavian Peninsula that it shares with Sweden, it also has borders with Finland and Russia to the northeast, and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west-northwest and southeast, and finally by the Arctic Ocean to the northeast.

With 5.5 million inhabitants for 385,199 km ² , including 307,860 km ² Norway is the least densely populated country in Europe after Iceland and Russia. Its capital and largest city is Oslo. Norway has two forms of Norwegian, Bokmål and Nynorsk, as its official languages, and the Norwegian krone (NOK) as its currency.
